About Us
Welcome to FBC Cache!
The First Baptist Church of Cache exists to gather in worship of the Lord, to grow through the teaching of God’s Word, and to go into our community and to the nations with the good news that Jesus saves.
We are committed to faithful, verse-by-verse teaching of Scripture and to living out our faith with seriousness, humility, and purpose.
What is the gospel?
Here’s a short and simple explanation of the gospel: The gospel is the good news that God sent his one and only Son, Jesus, to live a perfect, holy life and to die the death that we deserved because of our sin (Romans 3:23). After his death on the cross, Jesus resurrected from the dead so that we would know that God alone has the power and authority over sin and death and has made a way for us to be reconciled to God (Romans 5:1-11). We must put our faith in Jesus alone to save us from our sin (John 14:6). We believe that if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:9-10)
WHAT WE BELIEVE (Short Version)
We affirm the Holy Bible as the inspired, inerrant Word of God and the basis for our beliefs. This church subscribes to the doctrinal statement of The Baptist Faith and Message as adopted by the Southern Baptist Convention in 2000, as a faithful, but not exhaustive, statement of belief. We voluntarily band ourselves together as a body of baptized believers in Jesus Christ personally committed to sharing the good news of salvation to a lost mankind. The ordinances of the church are believer’s baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
